Exterior glass with frames and sills, interior glass cleaned by hand with the frames and sills detailed, window tracks hand-detailed, and screens removed and run through a screen cleaning machine. Most customers do all four; you can also book a subset.

Ordinary tap water carries dissolved minerals that stay on the glass after the water evaporates - those are water spots. Deionized water has had those minerals stripped out, so it lifts dirt well and then dries without leaving anything behind. It is what makes a spot-free finish possible without wiping the glass.

For exterior-only work, no - we just need access to the outside of the house and an outdoor spigot. For interior work someone needs to let us in and lock up afterward, but you do not need to follow us around.

Yes. Water-fed poles let us clean upper glass from the ground. That matters a lot on hillside properties in Point Loma and La Jolla where a second-floor window from the street can be three storeys up on the view side.

It depends where you live. Coastal homes in La Jolla, Pacific Beach, and Point Loma deal with constant salt haze and generally need shorter intervals. Inland homes in Poway, Scripps Ranch, and 4S Ranch are usually driven by seasonal dust and sprinkler overspray. We will tell you what your glass actually needs rather than sell you a schedule.

No. We focus on windows - glass, tracks, and screens. We would rather do those four things properly than add services we are not set up to do well.

Tell us before we leave. We walk the job with you at the end for exactly this reason, and fixing a pane while the equipment is still out is far easier than coming back.

Usually one of three things. The screens were not cleaned, so dust in the mesh washes down onto the glass at the first dew. Only one side was done, so you are looking through the side that was not. Or the glass was rinsed with ordinary tap water, which leaves its dissolved minerals behind as it dries. Cleaning both sides plus the screens, with purified water outside, is what avoids all three.

When sprinkler overspray or tap water dries repeatedly on hot glass, the mineral deposits can bond into the surface rather than sitting on it. Caught early it comes off. Left through several seasons it can permanently etch the pane, and no amount of cleaning will restore it. That is why we would rather see glass before a full summer has baked deposits in. If we find etching, we will tell you it is etching rather than charge you to scrub something that will not change.

Yes. Overcast is genuinely good weather for window cleaning, and light rain does not undo the work. What actually leaves marks on glass is the mineral content in water, not water itself, so clean rain landing on a properly cleaned pane dries clear. We will reschedule for heavy weather or high wind, mostly for safety.

Not necessarily. Exterior glass gets dirty considerably faster than interior glass in most homes, so a common pattern is exteriors more often with interiors less frequently. Kitchens and rooms with pets or a fireplace are the exception, since those build up interior film much faster. We will give you an honest read on your house.

A hose delivers ordinary tap water, which carries dissolved calcium, magnesium, and salts. When it dries, the water leaves but the minerals stay, which is exactly what a water spot is. Deionizing strips those minerals out first. The resulting water also lifts dirt more aggressively, then evaporates and leaves nothing behind, which is why the glass can be left to air dry instead of being wiped.
